My pick... Arizona Cardinals My reasons are many. The Chicago connection, YEAH! The Cardinals haven't been World Champs since 1947. This is their first Super Bowl appearance. If I don't have a dog in the fight I usually pull for the underdog. The Steelers...eh...been there, done that. Sorry, JCV. Your Steelers are going down in Super Bowl XLIII. ;D Oh, sure, JMG...go missing for a few months and then come back and jive me! And you have it all wrong, JMG. The Cards dissed the tahl...I'd have to say they are the ones who are going down. ;D GO STILLERS!!!! JCV

I'm an AFC guy, so I guess I favor the Steelers, but I like a good story and underdogs, so I won't be bothered by a Cardinals victory. Although my team is out, it's nice to be able to just watch a game and enjoy it as just a game. I enjoy seeing other people having fun, so have great time all you with personal stakes in this game. Hope you have a thrilling ride. Congrats for getting this far!

Lots of talk in Chicago about the Cubs acquiring the Padres pitcher Peavy. What's the feeling in San Diego on this trade? I haven't been on baseball mode and I'm not living in San Diego, so this came as news for me. I checked things out and I've learned that there is some disgust because the people of San Diego were promised a competitive team if they would support the building of the new stadium. Now, as always happens with the Padres, management is making decisions based the bottom line, not success on the field. It appears that they might hold off until mid-season. The Cubs, Braves, and Yankees are in the running for a possible trade. It will depend on who is willing to give up the best pitching prospect.
