. . . classless/poor sportsmanship - one team, the other team, both teams.
Since none of you had a "dog in this fight," if you read or saw the highlights, what to you think about how the game ended. I, obviously, have my take, but I'm curious about how the rest of the country sees it.

Can't help you out, sayne, but you've piqued my curiosity. What happened? JCV You can probably find it on YouTube. With about a minute left in the game and the win very well in hand with a 14 point lead, USC snapped the ball and the quarterback took a knee. No problem with that. UCLA followed by calling a time out. Some saw that as a last ditch effort to never say die, to force 'SC to call another play and maybe fumble. Some saw it as a sign of disrespect towards USC. That's how the Trojans took it. The next play, instead of calling a running play or taking another knee, threw a long 40 yard bomb - in essence, pouring it on. After the touchdown, the USC players began taunting the UCLA players. UCLA players walked across the field to respond to the taunts. The most common belief is that UCLA should not have called a time out. USC should not have thrown the long bomb, and USC should not have taunted.

I'd have to agree with your assessment. So I'd blame the brouhaha on the coaches, then. Shame. JCV
