what are your thoughts on that? I think so. If not in 1980, then later. I think he would have mellowed a little as years had gone on. I think he would have surprised us.

I think that somewhere, somehow John would have performed or recorded with Julian and Sean(perhaps not all three together but how interesting that might have been). Just one more reason why I, as a fan, am so bitter and torn about John's murder. I realize Yoko, Julian and Sean would love just to have John with them whether he ever made music again.

I think John would have been a very loud voice against Bush and the Iraq War. I also think his musical progression in the years after 1980 would have been interesting. I don't think I would have agreed with it all, but it would have been of interest.

John would have been so proud of Julian's Valotte album, and maybe even a vocal or guitar by John on Valotte. The possibilities are endless.

Yea, especially the Reunion Double CD that would have been released around the Anthology, and The Beatles reunion concert in Red Square during the Perestroika Period in the late 90's prior to George's passing in 2001 would have been something to behold........especially the new Lennon/Harrison numbers. And maybe the first Lennon/McCartney Musical that would have played Broadway after 9/11 to get people back into the theatres would have brought back memories of the old Rogers/Hammerstein era....

That is true josh, a reunion of sorts would have happened at some stage and the Anthology was in the works from way back then.
I also think John would have loved Julian's first album and they may have even played some gigs together. The possible things that could have happenned are endless.

prior to George's passing in 2001 I'm pretty sure that IN the world in which John didn't get murdered, George wouldn't have had cancer either.

But a cold-blooded murder by an idiot is a twist of fate much different than the fact that George smoked like a chimney for many years leading up to his throat cancer.

Neil Aspinall had been planning an anthology (which he initially called "The Long & Winding Road') going all the way back to the 1970's and had been collecting material for the project. He had to wait until all the lawsuits and counter-lawsuits were settled and that did not happen until well after John's death, in fact, until the late 1980's. Then the project began to get a life.
