"C'mon People" is another great one that nobody seems to have heard about. A really good and grand song, as far as I'm concerned.

...... "C'mon People" is another great one that nobody seems to have heard about. LOL, there is a love/hate relationship on this Board for "C'mon People." I am in the "okay" camp which isn't loving or hating it. JoeySelf has strong opinions on the lyrics and his analysis of the lyrics are a good read. It might be found in this McCartney Section somewhere. I have no interest in Paul's big pompous tunes. I find them too pretentious. C'mon People, How Many People, However Absurd, Beautiful Night, Big Boys Bickering... ugh.... I like Paul best when hes having fun, even better when he's a bit loopy like McCartney II, Ram , Robber's Ball....

I like Paul best when hes having fun, even better when he's a bit loopy like McCartney II, Ram , Robber's Ball.... So true. That to me is one of the sad things about Lennon's solo work. He lost all that loopy and fun charm that made Beatles songs so special. Its like he got too serious. How do worry about whether he was making an artistic statement or something. Lost some his spontaneous charm, perhaps.

And not everyone likes JLPOB. Respect it, yes: like it, no. I like my music a great deal lighter. I would agree with this comment. I have listened to MCARTNEY much more often than I have listened to PLASTIC ONO BAND. There is just too much sameness of sound on POB for me to rate it that highly. Too much negativity lyrically for me to want to listen to very often as well.
