Rob Leonard of the New York 'Beatles Songs' radio show, Mitch Axelrod, author of the excellent 'Beatles Toons' book, and Beatles Radio DJ Ken Michaels have just started a new Beatles podcast show called Fab Fourum, a talk show that discusses all things Beatles. The premier show in online and can be accessed on the link below or on iTunes. If you have iTunes, go to the iTunes Store page and in the search engine type in 'Fab Fourum' where you can listen to or subscribe to the podcasts. It looks like it will be an interesting Beatles discussion show. www.podarama.com/fab_fourum/User_633.php

Even then, it's not really that big a deal to me because I can hear the songs any time I like. But I DO enjoy when he has his "Rat Pack" shows, where other guests talk about the Beatles. I turned on the show last night and was amazed how long it took Rob to even mention the new Beatles remasters! But I did hear him announce this Beatles talk show. He made a mistake when he said it was the "First Beatles Talk Radio Show" ... in fact, the very station he is on, WBAU 90.3, had a Beatles show called "The Beatles Hour" that ran from 1980 to 1984, and they had two to three hosts that talked about the Beatles, took live calls, in between playing some songs. I had NO IDEA how to access this talk show, so I thank you for the link and hope it's basic enough that I can tune in with no fuss. I hear that it's only a half hour though, which is way too short a time, IMO... EDITED TO ADD: I was just easily able to access this show through your link, Thanks again!!!

You're welcome, Joe. Rob Leonard's 'Beatles Songs' show is also available for podcasts too. You can access it by going on itunes.ncc.edu then clicking on the button that says 'Launch NCC on iTunes U' which should open iTunes if you have it on your computer. iTunes will take you to the NCC page and you scroll for 'B Songs' which is Rob's show and you'll be able to get the podcasts for his shows. Last nights show was very poignant because Rob's dad recently died and he dedicated the final hour of the show to his dad playing appropriate Beatles and solo songs and telling funny Beatles related to his dad. I called in a dedicated 'Put It There' to Rob's dad.

Well, I listened to this talk show and I enjoyed it. I always like discussion; the music you can always hear any other time on your own. For those who haven't listened yet, it is largely a discussion of Paul's recent shows and his set lists, and what he should or should not play at his concerts.
Fred, I hope we can keep updating this thread as new shows are aired. Let us know when the next one is on.

As mentioned on the podcast, they hope to make it a weekly show with special guests as part of the program too. Perhaps Steve and John could be guests on the show, that would be cool!

Fred, I just by chance visited the site and noticed the third installment, so I went ahead and listened to it.
I called Rob Leonard off the air during his last "Beatles Songs" show and told him how much I appreciated this new Fab Fourum. He told me that it's difficult to get all four guys together to do the show, and that these first three podcasts were all recorded the same day during the same rap session. That's what I kind of figured, but I hope they can keep it up.

For anyone who hasn't taken the time to download these shows, I think they're great. The best thing about them is that these are freewheeling discussions about all things Beatles and not tied to the company line. They remind me of the Beatle discussion panels I did at Beatlefest many years ago. Those were informative and thought provoking and so is this show.

Fab Fourum podcast Number 9, Number 9, Number 9 is up! The discussions are on whether 'Free As A Bird' and 'Real Love' are really Beatles songs.

Thanks for keeping these updated, Fred. I'm enjoying every one of them. I call Rob Leonard when he's doing his weekly show to tell him how much I appreciate these, and that I wish he had a phone-in show where fans could call in and give their opinions instead of always just Rob playing music.
I really hope more fans are tuning into these discussions, as they're a lot of fun and very interesting to hear and share opinions.

Message from the Fab Fourum: The latest edition of the Fab Fourum is now available: The Guys Meet Miss O'Dell Part 1 The guys chat with Chris O'Dell, former Apple Records' personal assistant, and tour manager for Bob Dylan, CSNY, and many others in part 1 of a 2 part interview. Chris relays some amazing stories from her new Touchstone book (an imprint of Simon & Schuster) "Miss O'Dell: My Hard Days and Long Nights with The Beatles, The Stones, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and the Women They Loved", named for the song that George Harrison wrote for her. This is someone in the Beatles inner circle. She worked with Derek Taylor, Peter Asher, Neil Aspinall, and George Harrison, and many more. She was in on Beatles recording sessions and even sings in the chorus of "Hey Jude." She is a fascinating woman and her interview is not to be missed! You can listen at iTunes or at www.podarama.com/fab_fourumPlease also visit our website at www.fabfourum.com and let us know what you think of the show!

Just listened to this yesterday. Very interesting discussion. As with all the FF shows, you may find yourself with a different opinion. That's a good thing. FYI, I'll be on an upcoming show.
