23 - The Single Disk White Album If George Martin had gotten his way, the album we've come to know as "The White Album" would have been presented to the world as a single, as opposed to a double, LP. What if the Beatles had given in to the wishes of their producer and mentor? The Fab Fourum moderators ponder the options ... and play producers themselves...in this much-requested episode.Note from Old Fred: Yeah, I know, we've already covered this ground on the main board. But, this is the Fab Fourum's take on the subject, so it should be a quite timely and interesting listening experience.

Well for the record, I think making a single record out of '68 Beatles songs is certifiably INSANE...no offense to George Martin. There's just too many interesting songs. But I do think with just a TAD BIT of trimming you could cut out a little fat and divide the songs into two very interesting and cohesive records.
