Amazing, thanks!
I ordered it earlier today by using the Amazon.com link on Steve's News Site(which I always use hoping Amazon sees the hits are coming from Abbeyrd!).
Mine is to come Friday. I am stunned that it has dropped in price so much. Now I hope the "Deluxe" new Dylan "Bootleg Series" coming out soon will likewise drop in price! It is over $100.00 as now listed retail.

D-Oh! I saw the link on Steve Hoffman's board and forgot to link into Amazon through yours. I normally do that, but I was a bit flabbergasted to see it so cheaply, I went there quickly so I wouldn't miss it. So, folks, please do as I say and not as I did--order through Steve's link. I was in Best Buy this afternoon, and they had one on display for $119.00 or whatever it was. I just grinned to myself! JcS

fyi, Amazon has raised the price back up, though third party sellers still have it lower than they do.

It'll probably happen again. You have to wonder why the price isn't lower all the time if they can do it for a day.

I agree! In fact, I've yet to encounter anyone who actually PAID > $100 for it. Thanks for the link, Steve; I took advantage of it last night (the one ending in " ASIN=B000VPUIA6") and ordered my own $29.99 copy. I'm glad I jumped on it, if they've raised prices back up already! Mine just arrived(within 24 hours of ordering!) and this is the real deal!
I paid the $6.98 for two day delivery yet mine just came to my office at 12:30 p.m. today when I just ordered it yesterday at 1:30 p.m. That is cool.
It is a handsome, sturdy box that feels like it could have survived the recent hurricane. It will proudly sit on my shelf and the front cover of the box can also serve as a poster, it is that large. It is a reproduction of the English album cover.
Thanks fabtrick and Steve for the heads-up. This is a good example of where the internet and specifically this Board has empowered consumers. I still had it in the back of my mind to someday buy this boxset even at + $100.00 but this has allowed me to own this for a total of $36.97. Amazing.

That is an amazing price. Congrats to all who got a deal..imagine those that paid the Full Price and then seeing this deal..Wow!!
Truth be told we knew it was priced way too high the First time around(and it would seem that sales are slow to non existent at over 100.00..but 29.99 is probably a sell out)!

I'd say a more accurate range would have been between $50.00 and $75.00. Also, beware those who bought it as the two discs are stored in slots positioned in the inside cover of the hardbound book. The centerpiece that holds the dis(s) in looks like a white, round felt object and both came free thus both of my discs were floasting free between the inside cover and the first page. It appears that there was no scratching to my discs but one could easily open the book and the discs fall to the floor! I wish the discs were stored separately from the book so one could look at the book without worrying about the discs.

Very poor design on their part.

Beware to those of you who recently got the set: many of the packages (including mine) had the same content on both discs, despite the fact they were labelled correctly, and "looked" different. I forget whether it was disc one or two that had the problem, but I recall others who had similar troubles last year...

I forget whether it was disc one or two that had the problem, but I recall others who had similar troubles last year... Thanks! I am heading home now for lunch and will check the menus on each disc to see if they are the same content. I guess with the poor disc holders and same discs, no wonder this thing was $29.99! ;D Edit: My discs 1 & 2 are correct but they won't stay attached as those felt centerpieces keep coming undone. The discs have gone out of the book and into paper slips to protect them. I've slid them into the side of the box afte re-inserting the scriptbook and the hardback book.

Just got my set today. The book is very nice, as are the poster, lobby cards and script, and the packaging in nice and sturdy. The only drawback is the shoddy way the DVD's were packaged with the inferior holders. Good thing I got the regular version of the 'Help!' DVD. You'd think at it's original price of over a hundred bucks they would have had a better method of storing the DVD's. I still stand that it never should have been so pricey in the first place.

My set came in a couple of days ago. I've opened it, but I've not yet tried out the DVD's to see if they're correct or not. Nicely packaged. I'd say it's worth $50-$60, but certainly not the $100-$130 I've seen charged for it elsewhere! NP: Harry Chapin, "Taxi," The Essentials
