Wow, congrats to San Francisco Giants on winning the 2010 World Series! Man, a cat name Brian Wilson closed for the Giants, love and mercy indeed! Beach Boy Brian Wilson, a standout high school baseball player, will have to be convinced tomorrow that he wasn't the ace relief pitcher getting the save in the WS championship! msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/San-Francisco-Giants-win-World-Series-Championship-110110/?gt1=39002What about Willie McCovey? The article linked above fails to mention him! He was a SF Giants original! scousette is dancing in the streets! San Franciscans are so happy I saw some high-fiving and embracing Dick Cheney and George W. Bush! Congrats Giants fans and next year it will be the Chicago Cubs!

Steve M is a total Giants fan and he is not only dancing in the street, he is handing out free beer!
All gone beer!
Thank you for the kind wishes. We are overjoyed with our Giants. As Stella Mac might have said, "About f*****g time!"

Bucs - from the 'burgh! ;D JCV Well, JCV...since we last chatted I have Officially retired on a very nice pension at the tender age of 56. I spend my days doing what I want, when I want 24/7 while working on making my next million $$$$. Occasionally, I go out during the day to annoy the living hell out of my friends who actually have to work for a living . Life has been very good for JMG. Meanwhile, the Cubs are at 103 years and counting, still looking for that next World Series Championship. ;D Some things never change. So what's new with you?

As Stella Mac might have said, "About f*****g time!" Believe it or not, I was in a Burbank restaurant (in the heart of Dodgertown) and wearing a Giants shirt there the night of Game 5. Talk about a strange feeling. But I went over to the TV and watched the end of the game and clapped (along with a few others). No one booed and threatened me. We were listening to the game on the drive down and at least that one wasn't much of a nail biter. Watching the parade clips I've seen made me feel wonderful. I'm so glad SF finally got a championship. Long long long overdue.

Dang, if I could retire at 56, I'd only have 9 more years to work. I'm officially jealous! You must have hit the lottery! ;D I keep telling the doubters of my Bucs that we are rebuilding, and one of these days they'll remember that I was the lone supporter of the mighty Pirates, and they will NOT be able to climb on the bandwagon. ;D I'm very happy for Freddy Sanchez. He was my guy when he was with us. Keep the faith, JMG. Your time will come for the Cubbies. Meanwhile, I have to focus on the Super Stillers and Pens (who need a lot of help right now.) Congrats on your retirement! Stop by more often! JCV

I guess you could say that reaching your pension is a lot like hitting the lottery but after 38 years of working at my craft, I felt I was ready for it. The mind is still willing but the body says that's enough, time to have some fun during the time I still have left above ground. I'm still around the message board from time to time and will stop by. BTW, in the spirit of the thread, congrats to the S. F. Giants and their fans on winning the whole enchilada. ;D
