I've heard speculation that the "big name" on the 2nd disc is Paul Weller, contributing his (previously released) b-side "Sexy Sadie" amongst the little-known acts that are doing the other songs. Don't have confirmation, though.
btw, most Americans probably don't know Weller, and it's a shame. His work with The Jam, Style Council and his solo career has made him one of the UK's biggest acts for decades - a "voice-of-a-generation" for the UK, comparable to Springsteen here in the states. I highly recommend his "Wild Wood" and "Stanley Road" albums, especially - great mix of Winwood/Joe Cocker-ish vocals with strong hints of Traffic, Clapton & latter-day Beatles.
