Apropos of nothing at all, I was suddenly minded of a bit of amusing George naughtiness which might not be replicated on CDs.
At the bottom of the back of the album sleeve for Red Rose Speedway (vinyl album) were two things: a mall section in braille (which, I understand, was aimed at Stevie Wonder and read "We love you baby") and a line of text which said "To join the Wings Fun Club, send a stamped addressed envelope to xxxx." Can't remember the address. I sent off and got a copy or two of the Club Sandwich newsletter. Not exciting enough to keep me engaged, I'm afraid.
Along comes Living In The Material World and, at the bottom of the back of the album - "To join the Jim Keltner Fan Club, send a stabbed undressed elephant to xxxx."
I loved this at the time, and am still amused by it. It's a bit of sheer Lennon wordplay, but very redolent of George's sense of humour.
Is it there on the CD insert?

I thought it was a stamped undressed elephant. It is hilarious either way.

VERY black humour, but he also listed the song publisher of 'Horse To The Water' as R.I.P Music
