Just got my tickets to see them. Original members. Now, it would be great if at the end they were joined by David Crosby and Graham Nash for a quick morph into CSNY to do Ohio, Chicago, and Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.

Just saw them tonight. Not great, but enjoyable. They played and sung great. They only played about 17 songs. For me the highlights were Mr. Soul, a funky raw version of For What It's Worth, and Rockin' in the Real World (obviously, not a Buffalo Springfield song). To not do Expecting to Fly and Sit Down I Think I Love You were serious omissions.
All in all, though, should they extend the tour and go your way, you should see 'em. They are, after all, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers.

I don't think Neil Young has ever done Expecting to Fly live- at least I haven't been able to find a track.

Can't speak for the rest, but I was refering a little to both age and deaths.

I was out of town and missed the kickoff concert in Oakland on Wednesday. Richie Furay would have been the reason for me to go. He's still just as good a singer as ever and gives Stills and Young the texture their songs need. Glad you went, sayne, and thanks for the review.

Stills, Furay, and Young were in the front while the drummer (obviously) and the bassist were in the back. The interesting thing is that Furay was front and center and he seemed to have sung more songs. Perhaps it seemed that way since I was expecting Stills and Young to be more upfront. Maybe they wanted to make sure that there was an equal distribution of songs, which is why they only did 17. Anymore and you'd end up having a Stills/Young concert. Neil Young had a funny line at the beginning. Something like, "Hello, we're Buffalo Springfield. We're from the past."

Yeah, based on the recording of the Bridge School performance, I pretty much agree they should have done this years ago. They're singing the songs, but the character of the group is missing. It's too bad.

Young thought highly enough to sing about a reunion as far back as Silver and Gold (2000) in his song "Buffalo Springfield Again, but by the time they got around to it, two of them were gone (Palmer, Martin). Also noticed Messina was not part of the reunion.

. . . Also noticed Messina was not part of the reunion. Yeah, something has been going on there for decades. Don't know what. Anyone?
