Perhaps it was previously discussed on the earlier version of this board, but I finally got to see May Pang's book, and was shocked to see the photo of Paul with Ringo-likely taken the same day as Paul and John (since May took it-the three all had to be there at the same time).
I guess I'm just suprised that one, she didn't get a threetle pose, two I don't remember reading anything about Ringo being there even when the book was released.
Other than the I'm the Greatest sessions, the Clapton Boyd wedding celebration in 1979, and the meeting at the Plaza in NYC in 1975, was this the only other time after April 1970 and before April 1981 that three Beatles gathered?

I've read that Lennon played an uncredited guitar part on the "All Things Must Pass" LP (per drummer Alan White). White states that John, Ringo and George were all there together for one of the songs (I think he thought it was "If not for you"). I also read where John, Ringo and George attended one of Yoko's art exhibits sometime around '71 or '72. Speaking of Claption's wedding, there HAS to be photos of the Threetles jamming at the reception somwhere. All those guests and no one took a photo? No way.

No photos in Boyd's book of the three-just one of George that night.
From all accounts, the jam was horrible and Jack Bruce never wanted to get off of the stage.

I happened to skim May Pang's book just yesterday and I thought that the pictures were wonderful. I will buy this book for sure.
I saw the picture of Paul and Ringo and thought the same thing, a missed opportunity.
Whatever one's view of May Pang, her photos of John are excellent.

Instamatic Karma is one of my favorite Beatles books of all time. It's very casual and intimate, like looking at a family album. And if the picture of John signing his name--the final signature--to the document dissolving the Beatles doesn't put a lump in your throat, it's time to turn in your credentials as a fan.

I also read from several accounts that Ringo was at the How Do You Sleep sessions, but didn't want any part of the Paul bashing tune.
