Now we have a 'Partridge/Osmond Families Section'? This is yet another sign that the apocalypse is upon us.

I wonder how long it'll be before we have a 'Pat Boone/Andy Williams' section? I need some Cheap Trick to take away this bad taste in my mouth... Now playing...'Downed' from 'Cheap Trick' 'In Color'...there...that's much better. ;D

I wonder how long it'll be before we have a 'Pat Boone/Andy Williams' section? Mr. JMG, I have gamely put up with the smears, smirks and slams on The Partridge Family and have remained a gentleman as is my nature. However, your comparison of them to Pat Boone/Andy Williams has crossed the line of decency and fair play. I see that I will never turn you onto the music but I will leave you with this tidbit: millions of little Partridge fans like me turned to The Beatles once the Partridge Family disbanded. We realized that from a quality standpoint, there was only one rock band better and that was The Beatles. The great second wave of Beatlemania started with the release of the Red and Blue albums in 1973 but picked up speed with the implosion of the PF around 1974. There was a major power vacuum in Rock and millions of us disenfranchised PF fans wandered to The Beatles where we have never left. Thus the amazing Beatles' resurgence in 1975/1976. The demise of The Partridge Family allowed The Beatles to thrive again into the future. The Partridge Family died so that The Beatles may live.

You know, and I know, (cause we know ) that the Partridge Family did not disband. The show was canceled after David Cassidy announced that the fourth season of the series would be his last. He thought there would a final episode with his Keith character announcing he was off to college and that the series would continue with the focus on the rest of the family. He was surprised that the network decided to cancel the show, the feeling being that the show was nothing without him, to which they may have had a point. The Beatles continued after their cartoon show was canceled, and though John was upset that the episode of 'I Am The Walrus' never aired, they filmed 'Magical Mystery Tour' so they could do a live action version of the song to placate John, the band went on to greater success and continuing triumph, that is, till they broke up. Now please, Dear John, stop re-writing history, or I'll wallop ya!

Now please, Dear John, stop re-writing history, or I'll wallop ya! Despite our minor disagreement over the viability of The Partridge Family as a true working band and their subsequent, tragic breakup, we can agree that PF fans flocked to the likewise disbanded Beatles in the mid-70's as I am living proof of being just one such fan in the greatest rock and roll migration ever. Yesterday's Partridge Family Fans Are Today's Beatles' Fans

Susan Day was/is nice to look at. Marie Osmand was/is do-able but very fertile. At this point in my life...I don't want any children. As for the Partridge Family...I prefer Sly and the Family Stone.

She's got like a hundred kids now. She is still very pretty though.

Yes, Marie Osmond is still very pretty. But, when it comes to kids, she's like a pez dispenser. No thank you! There are women on my block I can play with.

This past weekend, my wife and I saw the hilarious Grandma's Boy that includes Shirley Jones as a sex maniac older gal who shags one of the young guys. My wife was totally and completely disgusted with the whole movie but I thought it hilarious. The movie makes me want to become a stoner. Anyway, I was both shocked and turned-on by Shirley's role and some of the bawdy lines she had! Very un-Partridge Family like yet it stirred strange feelings within me.

So did you see the SNL skit where Florence Henderson played a "skanky ho"?
