Based on a photo I recently found online of Paul laying down percussion with Charlie Watt's for a Stones song in '67, I started thinking of ideas for a Beatles meet the Stones compilation...I am looking for other suggestions of songs that either band did that seems to be in the style of the other (Maybe the Stones "She's a Rainbow" is Beatles esque?) or perhaps songs that BOTH bands covered...
1. I Wanna Be Your Man (Rolling Stones / Lennon-McCartney original)
2. I Wanna Be Your Man (The Beatles)
3. Money (The Beatles)
4. Money (Rolling Stones)
5. Eight Days a Week (The Beatles)
6. I'm Free (Rolling Stones / rip off of "Eight Days a Week")
7. Yellow Submarine (The Beatles / Brian Jones sang in backing chorus)
8. We Love You (Rolling Stones / John and Paul sang backing harmonies)
9. Baby You're a Rich Man (The Beatles / Mick sang in backing chorus and Brian Jones played oboe)
10. Dandelion (Rolling Stones / John and Paul sang backing harmonies)
11. Yer Blues (The Dirty Mac / John with Keith Richards playing bass)
12. I've Got a Feeling (Billy Preston covering the Beatles / George plays guitar and Keith plays bass)
13. I Saw Her Standing There (RRHOF Band / George, Ringo, Mick, et all at the RRHOF induction)
Not a bad mix! Any other suggestions?
