Nobody...? :-(
Well... I ordered this book weeks ago but up to now, nothing. Did not receive the automatic shipping alert. Curvebender Publishing doesn't reply my email and they are not available on phone. Seems nice... :-(
Anybody dealt with them?

It came in today, June 27, about 72 hours after I placed the order.
I've just opened it and thumbed through it a bit. I think it's going to be too technical for me in many places, but it's going to be a joy to read and skim.

Looks like an interesting (if technically detailed) book, but $100 is a bit rich for my blood right now. And it doesn't look like a book that'll be cutout (or paperback) in your local chain bookstore anytime soon... though I got really surprised to see Mark Lewisohn's "The Complete Recording Sessions" in that form a few years ago! Yeah, finally my books arrived! Thanks for the help joeyself! For me to take any credit would be akin to the rooster bragging about causing the sun to come up by his crowing. The book was already in transist when you brought this to our attention, and I had nothing to do with the delivery. If anything, I should thank you for posting the note, because it reminded me that I hadn't ordered it yet. JcS

That looks pretty interesting (albeit probably too technical for me in some ways), but definitely too pricey for my budget at the moment. Maybe someday.

It's expensive--mine was $109 with the shipping. It's technical--and I'm far from a gearhead. It's huge--too much so to read while lying in bed, at least comfortably. But it's essential. If Mark Lewisohn's RECORDING SESSIONS and COMPLETE CHRONICLES top the list of "must haves," this joins the list of those just after that pair. Philip Norman's SHOUT, Allan Kozinn's THE BEATLES, Allen Weiner's ULTIMATE RECORDING GUIDE and THE BEATLES FOREVER are in that group I speak of. Here is a sample page: recordingthebeatles.com/1963ProductionPreview.pdf, but it's not from my favorite section, where the recording sessions are examined closely. JcS

Wow, tho..isn't it like 'giving away' the secret to their success? That was my first thought about telling all. Then after taking a look at the features, some upcoming musicians would really benefit from their vast experience. So all in all....it's a go from me. Thanks

Thanks Did you, or any of the others here get it? Just this morning, I woke up a bit early and had a few moment, so I leafed through it--as much as one can, with a book this size--and found myself engrossed about the limiters used at EMI, as well as a section on the set up of the Apple Studio in Jan. 1969 by Magic Alex. Amazing detail, and yet well written. JcS (who is still not on the payroll of the authors, but should be!)
