Time for the "final four"! The first match pits RUBBER SOUL (side 1) against REVOLVER (side 1). RS 1 knocked off YESTERDAY & TODAY (side 1) by a 7-1 score while REVOLVER 1 took down THE BEATLES 2ND ALBUM (side 1) by a 7-2 margin.
RUBBER SOUL (SIDE 1) 1. I've Just Seen A Face 2. Norwegian Wood 3. You Won't See Me 4. Think For Yourself 5. The Word 6. Michelle
REVOLVER (SIDE 1) 1. Taxman 2. Eleanor Rigby 3. Love You To 4. Here There Everywhere 5. Yellow Submarine 6. She Said She Said

REVOLVER (SIDE 1)
I am flustered, I hate voting for an album where Capitol Records cut key Lennon songs but these remaining Revolver songs are too strong.

The match from hell for me, but I take "Revolver." True story: When the album came out, I took the bus home from school. It dropped me off at a local department store, where I spent many evenings waiting for a ride listening to "Revolver" on 8 track.

A good battle going here. Looking at the US vs UK this one doesn't make as much difference as both are missing a key song ("Nowhere Man"/"I'm Only Sleeping"). The substitution of "I've Just Seen A Face" for "Drive My Car" is equal. So going song for song: Taxman and I've Just Seen A Face both great openers Eleanor Rigby and Norwegian Wood both great songs Think For Yourself and Love You To both OK George songs Here There Everywhere trounces Michelle as Paul love song The Word beats Yellow Submarine as a catchy song She Said She Said and you Won't See Me both OK
That is a very slight edge for REVOLVER Side 1, which now leads 6-5.

RS 1
I said earlier that the weak spot on REV 1 was going to cause it to stumble at some point, and that point is now. "Love You To" mars a great album, UK or US version, and viewing the work as a whole, that gives a slight edge to RUBBER SOUL 1.
