LOVE
I am jumping on the Joey bandwagon. I have no emotional attachment to this cover, zero. For most of the others there is a huge emotional attachment. Probably less for the newer ones but for the ones from the 1960's and 1970's, huge sentimental attachment.
This is now getting harder.

"Give me LOVE, Give me LOVE, take it from this game It's not cute, it's not sharp, it's yellow and lame Now I hope, it's on soap and a slippery ledge I'll try to shove and push it, toward the edge..."
Not sure I have the metre just right, but it's on short notice.

Capitol 'Help!'. The Beatles photos are small and the horrible, unimaginative, cheap lettering is HUGE. It says to me: cheap, tacky, thrown together, tasteless, clueless, gormless and worthless.

Love - too garish for my taste.

Hey Jude The only one of the group who looks presentable is Ringo. The Beatles were always incredibly photogenic, but this shot doesn't do much to add to that legacy!

1966-1966 and 1967-1970. Both images were meant to have text in dead areas, and the title is scrunched up on top. The fabs are off center on the blue version, which in my eyes, qualifies it as a worse offender.

It's a sort of squiggly, formless, nondescript, seventies mish-mash of a script. I've never seen that style of writing used anywhere else, album sleeve or otherwise - with good reason!

It's as if it was doodled by a high school senior (class of '73) in the margins of his notebook.
