The Yellow Submarine soundtrack album has gone - interestingly, it lasted a lot longer than the songtrack sleeve which, I feel, is a far superior design. But there you go, that's voting for you.
We are left with:
Please Please Me With The Beatles (and Meet The Beatles US) A Hard Day’s Night (UK) Beatles For Sale Help! Rubber Soul Revolver Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band Magical Mystery Tour Abbey Road Let It Be 1962-66 1967-70 Live At The BBC

RED 1962-66
Because the photo is a duplicate of PLEASE PLEASE ME, and it needs the BLUE cover to complement it, I vote for 1962-66 to leave the competition this round.

Magical Mystery Tour
Shoddy, garish, slipshod, creepy(the animal costumes) and it has star patterns sprinkled about and I hate stars patterns on anything. This album cover tells us nothing about the music within.

RED 1962-66 Because the photo is a duplicate of PLEASE PLEASE ME, and it needs the BLUE cover to complement it, I vote for 1962-66 to leave the competition this round. I think they are different photos. Same session, obviously, and same pose, but not the same snap.

Unless vectis pulls rank again and doesn't count it! ;D We forget how difficult it was to get votes counted in the early rounds! vectis threw out many of our early votes. That was funny as many of us(me included) got indignant but then vectis realized we'd be here until 2025 still playing and suddenly the pace picked-up(relatively speaking ) and even blank posts were counted as votes by vectisfabber! ;D Maybe our friend will be more demanding again since we are down to a manageable number of album covers!

I reserve the right to be inconsistent, hypocritical and even arbitrary. Or not. As the mood takes me. So there.

I'll go with Red 62-66 for the exact same reason as Scousette. That was my thought even before I read what she wrote.

OK. The scales have fallen from my eyes. My Order of the Boot this time round goes to 'Magical Mystery Tour' and, in truth, it should probably have been unceremoniously shoved out of the competition several rounds ago. I suppose you just get so used to seeing the sleeve, year in year out, and thinking 'yeah, that's Magical Mystery tour - crappy film but damn fine album' and you move on to vote off some less deserving album cover...
In reality, the MMT album cover really sucks. It's gaudy, tacky, cheaply thrown together and must have been a huge let down after the estoeric, mind-bending artiness of the iconic 'Pepper' sleeve.

This album cover tells us nothing about the music within. It doesn't? I think the cover at the very least looks magical and mysterious, and fun -- and there's the Walrus, which tells us of I AM THE WALRUS. I think you've used an interesting choice of words here, because MMT just may tell us about the music and content within MORE than any other cover! (What do any of the other covers - like the bland White Album - tell us about their music within?)

I vote against the RED 62-66 cover too .... just too similar to their first album cover.

Oh, and I don't know what the big "hurrah" is for that newest YELLOW SUBMARINE songtrack cover.. it's about as bland as one can get, just with placing the yellow sub on it, and that's all. I'm not wild about either cover, but I'd pick the original LP with much more scenery if I had to choose.

What I really meant was the music inside is not shoddy, garish or slipshod. The music is A1 despite a crappy album cover(well maybe not "Your Mother Should Blow").

After some consideration on my part I vote to remove A Hard Days Night. The design of that cover is just too busy for me. Too many B&W photos on a blue background.

It's Red (redundant, and never was the best photo) or MMT (John's right, garish is the word) for me. I'll vote MMT in hopes that a tie will knock both out.

I'll join JCV on LIVE AT THE BBC. Not a lot wrong with it, I guess, but in this company, it looks like the weak sister.

I love the BBC cover as it is classy! MMT is just so cheesy in comparison! Different strokes though for different folks.
