Loup, Loup Cantaloup (lol), is the first to go on the RRS album, obtaining 11 votes, it was the only song selected (oops JoeySelf, has just chosen the *Medley* in the last minute... ;D) Who will go next in Round 2........... ;D Video Clip Of The Day
When The Night – Paul McCartney & WingsThis awesome live version was recorded at the City Hall concert in Newcastle, on 10th July 1973, during "Wings 1973 UK Tour".

Medley..
listening to it as i type......
It's not one of Paul's best moments......sounds like he's just going through the motions, not really trying to develop these ideas he had and he definitely didn't run it through the crapometer or it would have ended up in the unreleased pile of stuff he has accumulated over his solo career.....

Get on the Right ThingLove the song when I bought the LP in the mid-70's, but after hearing it several times, couldn't stand the chorus (Linda's singing.. ..), and now I skip it, whenever I hear the album.... I love that Medley....*Mozart of the 20th century*.... ;D

Medley. There are one or two vaguely pleasant tunes and taken as a whole it's pretty inoffensive, but the word 'lacklustre' keeps springing to mind and just won't go away. After this the choice gets harder...which rather confirms my theory that RRS is a pretty good album let down by a soggy ending.

Single Pigeon
It does nothing for me. The medley at least has some interesting sections, I enjoy 'Lazy Dynamite' and I like the early 70's sounding Wings harmonies

There are a number I could have gone for at this moment (not the medley, though, simply because it contains the majestic, though underdeveloped, Power Cut), but I went for Get On The Right Thing - Linda's snging is particularly poor, and the title is one o those dozy expressions which was, like, right on at the time, but which now sounds just stupid.

I voted for the Medley.
I just never liked it, it has always sounded forced and is in no way a masterpiece. I don't like that the song title Hold Me Tight has been used by Paul before, Hands of Love really annoyed me when I first heard it, the only part I liked was Power Cut, this should have been developed to a full song even with the guitar solo ending encompassing the melody of the other parts.

Medley: Hold Me Tight/Lazy Dynamite/Hands of Love
Again, I like this a lot but I must vote off something.
Side 1 of RRS is one of the strongest album sides in the solo Beatles' canon(although not appreciated in Joey's recent album side tourney).
Side 2 has the experimental song we first voted off and the Medley is the most sugary pop ever made by Paul but it is very catchy. As a piece of the RRS puzzle, it works nicely.

I voted for the medley. This is a prime example of why Paul had a "fluff" reputation in his early solo career.
Hmm. If there was a "select all" button I would be sorerly tempted. RRS was not one of Paul's proudest moments...but that would soon change.

I'll be the first to vote for "When The Night" which I find a bit boring. It wants to rock, but doesn't. I particularly find the backup vocals annoying. The lyrics are nothing special.and it isn't among his more melodic songs either.
