*Its All To Much*, is the next song to hit the dustbin, receiving almost 50 percent of the votes, it is the last of the (two) George Harrison new songs that was chosen for the film......Four of them in total (Hey Bulldog is the only one left. and maybe BYARM but this was the B-Side to AYNIL.... ...) not all of the four strike me as being masterpieces, but *Its All To Much*, shares the flaw of being aimlessly overlong...... Anyway, who will go in Round 6........ ;D Video Clip Of The Day
ELEANOR RIGBY - THE BEATLES
Official Version
Paul McCartney - Eleanor Rigby/Eleanor's Dream - 1984 Give My Regards To Broad street - Movie
"I wrote a good half of the lyrics or more," claimed John Lennon in later years of this archetypal Paul McCartney song. True or not, it was a sign that Lennon realised the strength of what Paul had written. It was a short story with a moral, all packaged within little more than two minutes. Aside from the backing vocals, McCartney was the only Beatle featured on the track, accompanied by a string section scored by George Martin - one of his most obvious and effective contributions to a Beatles record. The song later inspired the most memorable segment of the Yellow Submarine movie, as the craft drifts above the lonely, dingy streets of Liverpool.

I went with "Nowhere Man." Good guitar work and vocals, but the lyrics seemed a bit "off" to me; can't quite put my finger on it.

SGT PEPPER again -- great for the PEPPER album, but not really as used in YS, or as featured on the '99 collection..

Voting is starting to get interesting now that the remaining tracks don't have such easily identifiable weaker members among them.

Oh yes! My vote! Hmmmmm.... this is getting real tough ( as vectis correctly pointed out)! I go with...... ELEANOR RIGBY I agree it's a masterpiece, but too much of a downer for my tastes. In fact, I couldn't bear to hear it for years when I was little! I would change the channel when it played on the radio, skip over it on the record, etc. BTW, what was its "moral", anyway, Rocko? That there are too many lonely people in the world? Am I being thick and ordinary again?
