REV S1
There's too much brilliance here so it really comes down to REV S1 doing it for me more than MMT S2.

REV Side 1 by a very narrow margin! I called it because it has more songs! (A dumb reason, I know, but I couldn't think of a better one!)

Pretty easy for me: REV 1 has "Love You To" and MMT 2 doesn't.
Well, that and MMT 2 has soooo much to offer. I love the first three tracks on REV 1, as well as "Here There And Everywhere," but against that powerhouse lineup on MMT 2, it just can't hold up.
And I see I'm the first one to say so...so far.

REVOLVER, Side 1
But Joey, MMT-2 has "Hello Goodbye." That is the best Archies song the Archies didn't release! ;D

This one goes to a shootout song on song. Revolver has more songs and is a proper album side not a "compilation" by Capitol. Even though MMT 2 plays a strong hand with 4 of the Beatles best known tracks and one of many classic B-sides. But Revolver cannot offer up the same quality on average per song.
Hmmmm . so based entirely on merit of the track listing MMT2.

Not a weak link in the bunch on MMT2. That is all.

At the time of writing, heading says REV 2, but it's really REV 1.
But I coped with that confusion ...

MMT 2 Absolutely brilliant. The only nearly mediocre song, for me, is All You Need Is Love. And one of the greatest is there - Strawberry Fields. A psychedelic goodie is there for us too, in Rich Man. And Penny Lane is very good. And I like Hello Goodbye? How could this collection lose?
Easy ... it loses to Revolver Side 1. Read on.
REV 1 For me, the four leading songs on Revolver is THE best Beatles listening experience. Most Fab Fans agree the first three are pretty fine, and hesitate at Love You To. But I think Love You To is brilliant. Great lyrics, great tune, great arrangement. Not to everyone's taste, but risky in both lyrics and instrumentation. I like my Beatles risky.
I'm also of the view (which I've mentioned before) that Yellow Sub was not written as a children's song. There's some stuff going on here about isolation and retreat, which the sing-along nature of the song contrasts sharply with.
All up, REV1 is the best side (and seven songs to boot) of music the Beatles recorded. Even the song I like least (Here There & Everywhere) I can recognize has merits.
I'm off to vote for Revolver, Side 1.

REVOLVER Side 1
I like every song on both sides. Ultimately Paul and John pretty much balance off (I prefer John's MMT and Paul's Revolver tracks) but George and Ringo turn this one in favor of Revolver Side 1.
