Starts off great, but doesn't quite maintain that level. I give it a 3.

A 4 from me. I don't have much new to say about a POB song that we haven't already said.

I'm hard pressed to call it "great" but it is a solid 3+.

Perfect example of a 3. Average song for John lifted by his performance.

Sorry - as expected, I don't care for it. It doesn't speak to me either lyrically or musically. It's not a bad song, I just don't like it. For me it's a 2.

3 (good). Once again, I prefer other tracks from the excellent John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band album, but this is good.
"The sun will never disappear, but the world may not have many years." I like that lyric.

3. John really started sounding a bit haunted with this one. A side of Lennon I've always enjoyed even if its a bit spooky (get the same feeling from "Real Love"). You get the feeling John is really hanging by a thread at this point, very poignantly expressed.
And a big thanks to Joe for going to the trouble to share all these gems, hits and misses and forgotten treasures from the Beatles solo catalogue.

I'm glad you're having fun with this! Yeah thanks Joe! I find that your selection each day effects the rest of my day either for the better or for the worse. When you pick something like Ringo's "After All These Years" I feel happy with my memories of that album. On the other hand, when you picked "Ya Ya" or today's "Aint That A Shame" I feel a little blue because those aren't among my favorites. No pressure Joe but your random choices make or break my day! ;D

Isolation taps into honest emotions rarely heard, especially from a musical superstar. I love this song, with the sole exception of the poorly-advised "you're just a human, a victim of the insane" line. The words and the music on this track go hand-in-hand, the production is right, the vocal exceptional. Clearly a 4.

I'll give this one a 2.5.
I kind of loses me in the middle, a little too dramatic. The Beatles might have made it a little more funked up through that part.
