I'm reading it now. The writer says that Paul was determined to be famous by the age 14 so if I see the old man on the street and and I politely and without interrupting him take his photo on my cell phone for personal use and not for sale of any kind, then Macca is just going to have to deal with that! ;D If he yells at me believe me, I bet my voice is louder than his! I won't be intimidated into silence, I'll simply remind Paul he got that fame he desired as a child and more! No pictures fatso and I told you that The JSD Postulate is only half-right, it gets it wrong with BOTR!

I'm probably more sympathetic with the Beatles on this issue than most of the people on this board. Nobody knows what they're getting into with the fame thing. Until its too late. Or as Lennon put it:
"Trying to become unfamous would be just as stupid and futile as trying to become famous in the first place."
And:
"The only difference fame makes is you can be really miserable while sitting in a nice, comfortable chair."
Ken Kesey -- a guy I personally dislike but who wrote a great article for Rolling Stone magazine about where he was on the day Lennon died -- wrote that when he first became famous he was up onstage preening in front of the spotlight. But suddenly he felt this uncomfortable white heat as he realized that the spotlight could just as easily be the crosshairs of a gun. Thats fame for ya, baby!
