Here is one story if it is credible: entertainment.oneindia.in/music/international/2008/john-anger-sean-hearing-220908.htmlI would guess its because Julia's family kept his father away from him all those years when Freddie wanted to have a relationship with young John. Mimi made up lies about Freddie to keep John for herself. Some would say its his mother's death. But many people go through that situation without that kind of anger.

Some would say its his mother's death. But many people go through that situation without that kind of anger. That logic doesn't apply though because all people are individuals. It would be like saying "smoking does not cause lung cancer" because non-smokers get it too, and some smokers never get it. To answer the question -- I think by now we all know John's background and the many contributors to how he became an angry young man. And John told us too.

Yes but that level of anger is hard to understand. On the other hand, some people have reacted much worse. It makes you wonder what makes a person who has had a hard life go out and accomplish so much like John and others turn only to destructive behavior. It must have been John's extraordinary talent. Was John's life saved by rock and roll? BTW you didn't say anything about Freddie Lennon and Aunt Mimi's role.

Was John's life saved by rock and roll? I think rock n roll helped channel things, but John's life was saved by Yoko Ono. He said "she saved me from a kind of death", and she also mellowed him out a lot. Made him more sensitive to the struggles of women, for example. My earlier comment covers everything. Yeah... Mimi, Freddie, Uncle George, Julia.... all of it contributed. John went through a lot of crap at too young an age.
