Hey everybody,
I need some help. Christmas is coming soon and the Love documentary just didn't satisfy me. I NEED SOME NEW BEATLES PRODUCT!!!
I need some advice as to what is out there on bootlegs DVD's that are worth buying or asking for Christmas. I need to know the title and where to order them.
I got some real nice Rolling Stones stuff a few years ago but this year, I need Beatles or solo Beatles DVD's. Any help?

That's exactly how I feel. I'm in no hurry to see Love. I know a Let It Be DVD won't ever appear in my Xmas stocking but surely Apple could have come up with something better than that?
Last year I was given the Macca video collection which had some alriight bits in it ... 1985 was brilliant and the Rockestra bits were tantalising...
Live In New York City would be good if they included both concerts.
I guess I shouldn't complain. It hasn't always been done well but we have had our highs too - which is extraordinary after so many years since they split. We've had great solo albums and in the mid 1990s - how good was that!?

It doesn't look like we're going to get anything new Beatle related for Christmas this year. We're just going to have to be satisfied with what we already have.
I'm currently reading Geoff Emerick's fine and very interesting book 'Here, There and Everywhere'. I'm up to the chapter on the recording of the 'White Album' where, sadly, things were starting to fall apart. Lots of great insights into The Beatles recording career though.
