Andy Williams has died from bladder cancer.
He was one of the last of the old school crooners.
I enjoyed a lot of his music- very warm memories of growing up in the 60s with TV.

Loved his TV show and singing. Met him at a record signing for his Andy Williams Show album. A wonderful singer with a great comic sense. RIP Andy covering Nesmith's song 'Joanne'.

Just saw this on the news. My parents enjoyed him but yeah, I remember him for sure.
Wasn't he instrumental in the Osmonds rise to fame?

Yes, he gave the Osmonds their big break on his show.
Moon River and Can't Get Used to Losing You were his biggest hit records. My mom and I used to watch his show every week.
RIP

And here's an awesome clip with Andy Williams, Ray Charles, Mama Cass and Elton John singing "Heaven Help Us All."

A clip of Williams singing with the Beach Boys Since this is an Andy Williams tribute thread- I'll refrain from any Mike Love comments, JSD will cover 'em anyway ;D

and of course ths skit: and this "lost" hit pop single with a "George Harrison" cameo On a side note- I had previously conveyed me as a 9 year old being confused that Andy Williams sang Badfinger's Day After Day. This song helps to solve my mystery. One- Peter Ham's smooth voice, two similar Harrisonesque guitar licks in both singles, which were from late 69-early 1970. I know...who gives a flyin' hoot?

Andy also sang "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year", as well as a version of "Happy Holidays/It's the Holiday Season", both of which get a lot of airplay during the Christmas season, and both songs which I enjoy. But yes, R.I.P., Andy Williams.

Yeah, Andy was okay. A little on the square side, but okay.
What was the deal with the bear on the show? I remember there was a bear. I don't remember what he did. I just remember the bear.
And Claudine was hot. Just don't make her mad when she's holding a gun.

I always thought Andy was so much cooler and hip than Garfunkel in that clip.
