This is huge! The most important announcement ever made on this Board!
I feel bad that David will steal The Monkees' thunder but so goes sho biz!

As emcee of the convention, I'm thrilled that David Cassidy will be part of the convention. But remember, Johnny, Micky and Peter will be in attendance too. After all, it's a Monkees convention, not a Partridge one.

After all, it's a Monkees convention, not a Partridge one. Hey, I am still smarting from Micky trying to steal all of the Beatles' thunder at Beatlefest! David Cassidy is a giant among Pop Stars. You should try to hang-out with him OldFred but to get in good with him, flatter him on his later-day career. He is one of those stars curiously, and pig-headily, bitter about his glory days? David made some of the best three minute Pop songs in the early 1970's. He should be proud of that!

Thanks Fred! David was my childhood musical idol. He remained that until I went to college but in the early 1980's The Partridge Family were not retro cool like they are now so I had to hide that fondness if I wanted to score hot coed babes. Then again, I had to do that with most of the solo-Beatles releases of the early to mid-1980's. One wasn't going to score hot babes on campus with POP, Stop And Smell The Roses or Gone Troppo.
