He (@beatlespetebest) tweeted this a little while ago, so I guess I can mention it here:
Talking to him by phone.

Could you ask him how tall he is?
I was surprised how much of a shortarse Paul was when I met him.

If this is not too late, maybe it's not something to bring up, but I really am curious to whether or not he has met or talked with Paul or even Ringo in recent years. I strongly assume the answer is still no.

That is cool, Steve. Perhaps you could go a little "Howard Stern" and ask specific questions about the extra curricular stuff in Hamburg!

That is cool, Steve. Perhaps you could go a little "Howard Stern" and ask specific questions about the extra curricular stuff in Hamburg! I was looking through "The Best Years of the Beatles" that he wrote and he tells a lot of that stuff! But no, we didn't discuss that.

Hey Steve, if you ever get to speak to Pete again, can you ask him whether he sang lead on the song (i.e. Beatles cover) *Boy's*......We know he sung it before Ringo, but did he still continue singing it with the Pete Best Combo, from 1965..... If he did sing it, geez he did a good job of it, even the drums sound awesome.... PETE BEST - BOYS / KANSAS CITY - 1965THE PETE BEST COMBO / BOYS - 1965

They sound awesome...*The Pete Best Combo*.....Have a listen to this song (written by band members Tony Waddington - lead guitar/vocals & Wayne Bickerton - bass guitar/vocals).....Sounds a bit like *The R/Stones*....

I can't understand why Pete would be recording the same material as Beatles right around the same time as the Beatles themselves. Wouldn't you think he be chomping at the bit to show that they really screwed up when they fired him by carving out his own path? It just seems strange to me.
