Hi Guys
Thought I'd join this page as it's my aim in life to extol the virtues of being a Beatle person and to help keep the Beatles dream alive.
On 15th of September 1964 the Beatles were playing a show at the Public Auditorium, Cleveland, Ohio. It was an eventful evening for two reasons.
Reason 1. While the Beatles were playing 'All My Loving' the Police Inspector Michael Blackwell and Deputy Inspector Carl Bare decided to stop the show because the audience were becoming too rowdy. Bare climbed onto the stage, grabbed a microphone and told the crowd the show was over. Blackwell also arrived on stage and gestured to The Beatles to stop performing. They reluctantly put down their instruments and left the stage to the sound of booing fans. After 10 minutes delay Blackwell told the crowd the concert would continue if they remained in their seats. Eventually, the show continued.
Reason 2. A short time later in a hospital in Leicester, UK a new Beatles fan was born into the world. The baby was named Adrian Brown... It was little me!
And so the great infatuation had begun. Being too young to buy Beatles records at the time and later as a small boy I made a promise to myself that one day, If I had enough money, I would collect their records and listen to Beatle music everyday. And so it came to pass that this is exactly what I did. To the consternation of my wife I regularly spend the housekeeping money on Beatles records. I'm constantly on the internet browsing through on-line auction sites. And yes folks, I stayed true to my self made promise and I listen to The Beatles every day. Call it obsession. Call it narrow minded. I don't care. There will only ever be one band for me. The Beatles.
Love and peace guys.
