The liner notes do not list a specific take. Does anyone here know what take it was?
Thanks
P.S. The version with "When I was a robber in...." for the intro.

The Anthology take is # 2 from the July 29, 1968 session. The version I love is the one on the Midnight Beat "Gone Tomorrow, Here Today" which is from the Trident Studio session a day later. It's more polished and closer to the released take. Regards, Beatle Bob

I'll have to go listen to that version from Gone Tomorrow, but I do love that Anthology version with it's John/Paul opening vamp. Thanks for info on which take it is.
