A little Let's Play House thing going on here.
This is on The Lost Tapes: Through All Those Years, one of the Japanese needle drops that's out on amazon.com that I just picked up.

Yeah, this one has been around awhile along with a few other George gems from the Barrette cassettes. A real cool one is George covering Get Back for Doris Troy.

Yeah, Get Back is on this disc too. I listened to about minute of it. I was expecting something more like John or Paul's versions.
I have the disc in my new music program on my zune mixed in with everything else I've gotten recently. I just hear a track every now and again.

Yeah, that is excellent. That is a rare example of George post 1964 singing in a rock and roll voice and the closest thing from George I've ever heard of a John and Paul scream!
Wasn't Golders Green the place where Badfinger lived and this song was loosely about George visiting the boys there?

Golders Green is an area of north London which is predominantly Jewish. Nice area. I was in digs there in 1971.

This song also appeared on VigOTone's great George boot Through Many Years and the liner notes say: "A jam session in all but name, George is making this one up as he goes along, but does a good job of it. This happens to be the area in London where Badfinger lived, though whether that had anything to do with his namechecking the area is doubtful."

Yes, thanks, debjorgo! Can I call you deb? David Letterman usd to have a skit called "Stop calling me Debbie". He would find someone on the street and keep calling them Debbie until they asked him to stop. debjorgo is an alternate use of my work user id, that being debjor01. I use it on youtube, email addresses, etc. It turns out to be a little awkward as a name on this forum. You can call me Don. Or Deb's okay, if Don's too confusing.

This one came up in the car today. For some reason, I really enjoyed it. I guess it's Ravi doing some of the singing. It's from The Lost Tapes: Through All Those Years.
If you listen, at least make it to the minute mark, where it picks up tempo.
