beatles.com/#/news/Vinyl/Mono is mentioned in the third paragraph, slated in November of 2012 to come out in 2013. No mention of the 180 gram pressing, but given the stereo box was that grade, it's logical to assume....oh, wait, this is Apple, where regular assumptions must be discarded. JcS

No, Apple defies all logic. A week or so ago PopMarket.com had The Beatles Mono Box of CD's on sale for $184.99. Back in 2009, I bought a Mono Box from bestbuy.com but I can't remember the price. I think $184.99 is a decent price for that boxset. Do I play mine much? No not at all since 2009 but mono SPLHCB has the very different vocally(and I think superior) "She's Leaving Home" and the White Album is just darn creepy or foreboding in mono! I intend to play those more and maybe this weekend I will.

I paid $246.95 for the mono cds back in 2009.
If you buy through amazon, you can still pull up the purchases going back to 2005.

From Wiki: "Amazon.com advertised the set as a limited edition item in the United States, and less than a month prior to the set's release announced the site had sold out of units.[7][8] Less than two weeks before 9 September, many other online retailers announced the selling out of units from their inventories, including the Canadian Amazon.ca site.[9] EMI announced on 3 September that more mono box sets were to be pressed due to high demand from online pre-orders. It will still remain a limited edition, but since it has already been certified platinum by the RIAA, it was not limited to 10,000 copies as originally stated.[10]"
Anyone buying it as a limited edition may have felt a little used. If they hadn't pressed more, you would have been paying much more for a used copy.

I decided to take the plunge and buy this set, and I love it! What really turned me around was finding out that this time (unlike the Stereo box) the records are now taken from the original analog source. I have so far only played the PLEASE PLEASE ME album, and it was the best I have ever heard this music sound throughout many years and various formats/releases.
