Someone messaged me that that iTunes story would be seen by more of you in the Long and Winding Road area rather than the News area. I'd like to conduct an informal survey for my benefit: Do you read the board by area or do you go directly to the new posts?

I go directly to the Long and Winding Road area when I log onto the site. I check out the News area later.

I go directly to long & winding. Rarely check any other categories. I figure the "news" stuff comes out on the daily updates, right?

I always start with new posts in The Long And Winding Road Section , that's where the action's at.
The article you linked us to today, Steve, on your News Page was both fascinating and infuriating as to the I-Tunes Beatle impasse.
The Beatles may have held out too long with the slumping download market(and slumping economy in general).

(1) I would have thought it ovbious that the LAWR section is where almost ALL the posting occurs, and thus where most people would go first.
(2)Virtually every "section" of this forum is moribund. "Webmaster", think about removing all the sections that are almost as quiet as the grave.

Thank God you get to name the sections here, Steve, rather than Paul, Ringo, Yoko and Olivia. I just realized that there would have been a firefight between them over calling the most heavily traveled section of this Board "The Long And Winding Road." Paul would be pleased. Yoko would argue that "Across The Universe" could just as readily convey the same idea, that some of the discussions here go on into infinity(or as you and Paul see it, travel that long and winding road). Olivia would say that many of our Threads and individual posts in this main section are "Long, Long, Long." Ringo, feeling left out, would look to his solo catalog and say that with all of our bickering and sniping in the main section, "It Don't Come Easy." Not to make you paranoid Steve, but now Ringo, Yoko and Olivia are pissed at you: pissed in the American sense.

I usually start at the bottom of the Chapter Page. I can see who's online, most recent post...etc...ect... From there I work my way up, from bottom to top. My last stop, normally, is 'The Long and Winding Road' chapter. Why? That way I can scan each individual chapter to see if anyone has added anything new to a given chapter since my last visit. IMO, that's the way the page is designed. If not, then all you really need, besides love , is one chapter...'The Long and Winding Road.' I know, it seems backwards but I'm left-handed in a right-handed world. Us lefties are well known for doing things backasswards and damn proud of it! ;D

While everyone gravitates towards the LAWR message board when they first log in, it's a good idea to have the other boards up as well to check out and discuss items on a specific Beatle or non-Beatle related items.

I first go the Long and Winding Road Message Board to see if Winkin, Blinkin, and Nod have said anything stupid and worth ridiculing. After I've done my civic duty, I go to the Beatles News Briefs.
