Dhani has done a cover of For You Blue for Gap magazine. I hate the commercialism, but man does he sound like George! Well, I know one person here who would NEVER go to a concert with Paul, Ringo and Dhani, but it's not me!

Awesome, I'll need to find that cover. I have never heard of that magazine.
I was a fan who always scoffed at a Beatle son stepping up for a deceased father but now it makes all the sense in the world to me, thanks in part Mike to your various hypotheticals posted here through the years.
If Paul and Ringo play live and try to recreate the Beatles sound, I'd rather have living Lennon and Harrison DNA on that stage with them than Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, or God forbid those guys from Paul's touring band that Paul himself won't even let anywhere near his own studio recordings!

The entire song is now on youtube. Suspect it won't be up long. Absolutely stunning, though nothing new added. He could put an entire LP out of "alternate" George outtakes, and we'd never know if it was him or his dad. Julian is a little more nasally than his father or goes off on a David Bowie type vocal. Sean sound like John on helium. James sounds a little like his father, but probably the least of the bunch.

I saw Dhani's Gap commercial and like the cover. Gap also did a commercial featuring Alexa Ray Joel, Billy Joel's daughter.

Actually, if you watch the commercial, he is playing some kind of a guitar/ukelele hybrid. Sayne, any clue what it is called?

We all know here that the iTunes version is a full production/band effort, do we not?
Just making sure no one thought the little acoustic bit on the commercial was the whole thing.

That lad needs a haircut. I can't think of any reason someone would "need" a haircut. Except maybe to join the marines or something. But then again, I'm pretty sure they give you the haircut.

I was riffing on what faced his father and chums at that age. Well only the old folks here remember the Beatles hair controversy! By the Second Wave of Beatlemania starting with the 1973 release of the Red and Blue albums through 1976's summer of faux Fab mania, The Beatles looked like short-hairs compared to the other Rock acts back then! Can you explain that joke again vectis?

Well, I know one person here who would NEVER go to a concert with Paul, Ringo and Dhani, but it's not me! It's not me, either. I'd go, so long as they didn't consider themselves "The Beatles". But if they did, I think Dhani could be an improvement and probably could play lead guitar better than his Pops!

Can you explain that joke again vectis? Regrettably, if it needs explaining then it didn't work. Except it did for us old fogies.
