Wow, that was great! That is a cool antidote to Paul's weirdo Hollywood over-serious Queenie Eye video! Yoko and gang are having fun and not taking themselves seriously as those flakes are in the aforementioned QE video.
I commented three weeks ago on the bad dancing in that Paul video but the funny thing is Paul, Stella and those so-called beautiful people think they are great dancers.
I wish Yoko would have done this on Letterman and gotten Dave on the dance floor with her!

I haven't watched the Queenie Eye video (or this one) as I never felt that Beatles and dancing went well together. Don't get me wrong, I love Your Mother Should Know because the whole hite suits/soft shoe shuffle thing is so bizarre, but they sure aren't naturals, and Paul in particular was always a gawkly mover on stage. I did think he was OK in Ever Present Past though.

And man, Macca had the moves in the "Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance" segment in the smash TV hit James Paul McCartney! And dig that Ringo dancing in AHDN where he creatively jumps straight up and down which inspired him decades later to write "Vertical Man" for the title song of another smash hit solo album! And not to leave John out, his waltzing with Yoko to "I Me Mine" make Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers look like rookies. Hmm, maybe you are right vectis! All my examples suck or are fake!

Yoko dances like an old lady! Wait -- she IS an old lady! (80) ! Her legs in the video still look good for 80.
This was a lot of tongue in cheek fun, and I love it that Yoko is still doing what she does, and doesn't mind poking fun and not taking herself so seriously.

I like it! If she did more of this and less of the yalalalalalalalalalalalalalala concept stuff, she would have better street creds!

Problem is, people automatically think she only does yalalalalalalalalalalalala stuff. Some of them haven't even heard her but they just go by the reputation. (Not meaning you, mind you)...

I know she charts with dance music, and also know where John heard the B52s. I originally bought the Walking on Thin Ice 45, so I know what she is capable of.

Thats funny. Thats the most entertaining thing I've seen from Yoko in years. John always claimed one of the things he loved best about Yoko was her sense of humor (and he would know). It a shame she didn't show it more in public. 99% of the time it seemed like she had that stone-faced look of seriousness on her mug.

I always liked the shots of John cutting a rug in Central Park.

I always liked the shots of John cutting a rug in Central Park. That was John's brief "Gangly" period.
