I just noticed this header - Song of the Week, Beatles or Solo.
Someone mentioned Run Devil Run.
This is the one song that has stuck with me as being above the rest.
It's great!

Holy Crap - talk about a coincidence! I just got the urge to start up my old "Song Of The Day" forum again almost at the same time, and I hadn't even seen this post!

I like this song okay, though it's not my favorite at all from the album. Sounds like a Fats Domino song -- is it?

It is a Fats song.
I actually thought you'd seen this and said, "Hey, that's my bit!"
I would take the credit for spurring you back to it. I liked the old threads.

It is. I actually thought you'd seen this and said, "Hey, that's my bit!" I know, I know -- but actually, it was pure coincidence, I swear. I had been hanging out here and searching old bygone threads and topics, and then figured it might be fun to start up my old solo song thread. Then I returned to see what "recent posts" were made and I saw this one! Immediately I figured: "oh, great - now they're gonna think I was jealous or something!!" (even more embarrassing cuz I called mine "Karlosi's Song Of The Day".... oboy.. ) But if you knew my ESP and weird timing throughout my life, you'd believe it. I just wish I could do the same with winning lottery numbers.

Your threads came first. It makes more sense that I'm copying you. But I swear. I'm not!
I'm really copying myself. I'm posting videos in the Various music thread. No Beatles, just whatever hits my whims. I was going to go ahead and break my original thought and post a solo Beatles song, then I seen this topic.

Close to the original but Yoko's waka waka waka singing at about 1:45 is nice. The sound at 2:16 is pretty cool too.

...so do you want a cigarette? ;-) Oh, no. I quit smoking about 8 years ago. If I had one now, I... Hey! Wait a minute! What are you saying?

...so do you want a cigarette? ;-) But as John S Damm might say, if it were Heather M or Pattie waka waka-ing, ....

I just noticed this header - Song of the Week, Beatles or Solo. Deborgo / JoeK, This was my doing, I asked Steve whether he can create an area, where I'd create Song Of The Week - Beatles (#1, #2, etc), and Song Of The Week - Solo (#1, #2, etc), and I'd attach, info, photo's, video's etc, like we did in the old days (Joe, might remember.... ) I've been too busy lately with work, and haven't had a chance to start/add any songs, thanks Debjorgo in starting to add songs within the area.....Joe, feel free (and others) in adding your own songs.....

This is a decent Fats Domino cover. I haven't listened to RUN DEVIL RUN much. "Brown Eyed Handsome Man" was probably my favorite.

I enjoy all of Run Devil Run. It's Paul's last album with his full throated rock voice still intact. She Said Yeah explodes!
