Let's make it a contest -- who can come up with the worst pictures of any of the Beatles? Here are my nominations: A bit of an obvious one, but . . . I have no issue with their front, but those backsides are not attractive. . . In which Paul suddenly was caught underneath the suction of a giant vacuum cleaner . . . Let us know when you get back from the disco, George . . . You could say he looks cute here . . . or, you could just say he looks WEIRD.

George looked like a sad Weird Al Yankovic in that pic ...

Great Thread idea! A female friend of mine thought Paul looked too effeminate in this Run Devil Run image. I know, John's last public performance but his hair pulled back and an orange jumsuit? John anticipating Gitmo 26 years early. This look is even worse, around the same time I suppose.

George scrubbed up all right in that photo.....
Maybe that was why Maureen jumped him,she thought he looked hot......
I think Yoko used to occasionally belt John with the ugly stick, the change in his appearance was always the most striking..

That's from what I like to call George's "Doug Henning phase."

Wish I could post pics, but the first ones which pop into mind are some black and white Paul pics from around 1968 (I guess) where he has greasy dirty hair and goes around needing a shave. Sometimes Macca could look like a slob.

I don't think John's enormous-beard-and-silly-brimmed-hat phase of July / August 1969 was, sartorially, his finest hour... Just to make an already bad photograph ten times worse, Paul is posing like a model in a knitwear catalogue.

Big noses. Other photos in this same series aren't so bad.

Paul the hobbit! Or any photo with a 64 year-plus Macca in a bathing suit(especially with clown patterns).

Paul: "I'm telling you, John, that is Allen Klein over there buggering that donkey! Can't you see it?!" Linda: "Eewwww!" John: "I don't see that at all, Macca, it is just your uptight Eastman state of mind." Yoko: "Maybe it is an imaginary Allen Klein buggering an imaginary donkey!"

I actually don't mind John as a bearded-Russian-orthodox-priest circa 1969 (hey, it was a hairy time!). Not so fond of his Howdie-Doody look in the mid-/late-50s, though . . .

Damn, Paul looks bad in that video! Why did he think green-checkered pajama-bottoms while standing in front of a twirling yellow umbrella would look cool?

Me, I thought the picture of Paul on the White Album poster (where he's about to sneeze while the guy next to him-Mal Evans?- makes a goofy face) was funny, but not exactly flattering!

That video, co-produced by Mary "Who Did You Write 'My Love' For, Daddy" McCartney, destroyed the hit potential of "World Tonight." As soon as the younger people saw that video on MTV or VH-1, it was all over. There's something about Mary.

I know this sounds stupid, how do insert pictures into your messages? I've tried copy and paste but that doesn't work.

Sally, when you reply to a message you have to hit the "Reply" button under the previous message -- don't write your message in the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of the page!!
Then, you should see a series of small icons directly above the text-box you're writing in. One icon looks like a little photo. Click it. Two parenthetical items will appear, side-by-side, in your text (whereever your cursor is). Then all you have to do is paste the web-address of the photo in-between those two parenthetical items.

Panther, thanks for the photo posting tip. Like Sallyg, I'm also photo-posting challenged. I still don't get the "paste the web-address of the photo" part. What if the photo is saved on your hard drive or on a CD?

Taking a break from the worst.... One of THE HOTTEST(Best) (ex)- Beatle pics imho. (Hope that's okay panther.... ;D) I had this as a poster and it hung on my bedroom wall for years in the mid tolate 1970's. Yeah that is a great picture of Paul and thank goodness it wasn't ruined by homely Linda facing the camera! I love the legend on the cover: "A Beatle On the Wing, a Band on The Run.... but not Quite the Act You've Known for All These Years." That was cool too.

John, did you just call Linda homely? Not very PC. But there certainly isn't anything wrong with your eyesight.
I wish I could remember the name of the photographer who was sent up from London to Liverpool to take some early publicity shots of the Beatles, shortly before they became famous. There's nothing especially good or bad about the photos, they aren't much different than others taken around the same time. But I recall this guy describing JPG&R as "the whitest white men I had ever seen."
At least he didn't think they were homely.
