First, thank you very much sayne for finding that and sharing that.
Second, I for one still despise Mike Love and I don't like this song even if it is important as a Beatles fan that I/we know about it!
I wonder if he points to pretty women in the crowd when singing it?

The main point I was making, though, was how no one here acknowledged George's birthday, unless I missed it somewhere here. For the other guys, people will post thoughts, videos, photos, etc when John's, Paul's, or Ringo's day, but there was nothing for George. I wonder why.

I remembered it was George's birthday as soon as I woke up that morning. I thought about posting something here for it, but George is my least favorite Beatle and I just figured "meh". Besides, George always liked his reclusive privacy. Well, you got it, Harri. By the way -- where was your Birthday thread for George?

Where was your Happy 81st Birthday wishes for Yoko, I'm still waiting for your 80th birthday wishes for her last year...lol Just wait when its Cynthia Birthday (the real 5th Beatle), this place will be in lights (don't worry what JSD, says..*laugh*)...... George is your least favourite??, for me he's second (favourite) after Paul as a Solo Musician/Songwriter..........John is my least favourite in his solo years, but equal with Paul as a Beatle.... As a person, personality etc, George is my least favourite.....Never liked the way he's put Paul down thru the years, likewise with John/Yoko & Pete Best.....?

Where was your Happy 81st Birthday wishes for Yoko, I'm still waiting for your 80th birthday wishes for her last year...lol I remembered Yoko's 81st birthday too but as with George I didn't bother to post anything. However, I DID acknowledge Yoko's 80th here on the boards last year. I don't recall if it was a day or so later, but I did begin a thread on it. (It doesn't really matter anyway; Yoko is not one of the four Beatles). I will be looking forward to a Survivor for Paul's excellent recent album, NEW. However, I just hope we have enough players who are familiar with this great release!

Why sayne, you are getting mellow in your old age! I never thought you one sentimental for celebrity birthday threads, even for the Fabs! I must admit that I don't always post on the Fabs' birthday threads although sometimes I do. It is nice when Rocko, OldFred and others start them but sometimes I forget or get too cynical about posting birthday greeting to people I have never met or who are deceased. I don't go lay flowers on my father's grave on the anniversary of his birthday either because of the distance. We all honor these milestones in our own chosen way. Happy belated birthday George! [Restoring my fan credentials.]

Alice Eve is a George fan. She mentioned him when asked by Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show what music she liked. She said "But I think that the Lord among men when it comes to music is George Harrison". She then quoted "If you don't know where you're going, Craig, Any road will take you there". Do we like her now? Attachments:

I have no use for Mike Love after seeing what a dick he was at the 1988 Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony.

Not really. This was a thread with you taking others to task for not starting a George Birthday Thread and for focusing more attention on Mike Love. If you were so concerned about it you could just have begun a thread titled "Happy Birthday George". Or "Belated Happy Birthday". As an aside, people really need to learn how to quote properly.

As an aside, people really need to learn how to quote properly. You're giving grammar critiques? . I'm sorry, that's so rich! How is that a "grammar critique"? I'm referring to using the quote function(s) properly...

Actually, if you look at my original post, I said "us." So, I was including myself. Okay, I'll play along with the semantics. So okay -- you included yourself too -- fine.. All the same, it still was not a "Happy Birthday George" thread with such a title; rather, it was bemoaning that there hadn't been one for George, and invoking Mike Love.

I have no use for Mike Love after seeing what a dick he was at the 1988 Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony. I have no use for Mike Love either. He's had a long career for an average singer. George would have been 71 this year, hard to believe he's been gone nearly 13 years.
