Both songs lead by (more than) one hit wonder Tony Burrows, who also sane Gimme Dat Thing and Beach Baby, plus his early Flower Pot Men with two members of Deep Purple was a direct inspiration for Spinal Tap.

You must be a Tony Burrows scholar. He is a 5-time One-Hit Wonder.

As the person who posted this on YouTube says, this is a megarare snippet from Top of the Pops that features Roger Greenaway, not Tony Burrows, on lead vocal. Greenaway wrote the song with Roger Cook. Since Burrows appeared with three different groups that night on TOTP (Edison Lighthouse, White Plains, and Brotherhood of Man), it's believed that Greenaway took the lead vocal role on this to give Burrows a break. Burrows had to change outfits and move among three stages during the broadcast. Burrows is on the far left, singing backup.

"Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes" is top of my list of "guilty pleasures". Fantastic pop!
Also enjoy "My Baby Loves Lovin" and "Beach Baby" a great deal too!

Well, winston, I don't feel so bad now. It's a great surf record, isn't it?

Yes, it is! I remember someone on this board remarking that it was probably the best Beach Boys record the Beach Boys never met!

I wrote once that I thought Beach Baby is what a song written by Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney and produced by George Martin and Phil Spector would sound like. I can hear the Brian parts and the Paul parts. I can hear the George string arrangements and the Spector wall-of-sound.
