Why is this message on the Main Page Steve? Don't you think it belongs in the 'Off-Topic' section? What's it got to do with The Beatles? It could be considered offensive to some people.

"It could be considered offensive to some people." Yeah! It's right over the *A Christmas Present* for crying out loud!! The nerve of some people... wishing others happy holidays... Religious or not!

Why is this message on the Main Page Steve? . . . What's it got to do with The Beatles? . Because the Beatles were, among other things, about peace and love.

It could be considered offensive to some people. Well wishes for anyone's holiday is not offensive. You need to check your sensibilities my friend, and accept peace and love for everyone everywhere, no matter their religious preference, color, ethnic background, etc. Peace, Love, Tolerance. Regards, Beatle Bob

Regards, Beatle Bob No. You're wrong, Beatle Bob. That greeting would be 'Happy Holidays.' Many of my friends are Jews, Christians, Buddhist Muslim, Nonbelievers...what have you. A persons religion doesn't matter to me. To some people 'Happy Hanukkah' or 'Merry Christmas' are offensive. I decided to go with 'Happy Holidays' years ago and never looked back. You don't like it, I don't care. IMO, it's the correct thing to do. In any case, this has no place on a 'Beatles message board.' Do you see where I'm going with this? It should be in the 'Off-topic' section. It's got nothing to do with the Beatles.

It should be in the 'Off-topic' section. It's got nothing to do with the Beatles. It's currently Hanukkah. NOT Christmas. Why should I say Happy Holidays? It was directed to those who celebrate as it's Hanukkah currently. When it's Christmas I'll say "Happy Christmas". When it's time for Kwansa I'll say "Happy Kwansa". When it's Ramadan I'll say "Happy Ramadan". You wanna be politically corrrect, that's fine. Just don't push your philosophy on me or others and I won't demand you to say "Happy Hanukkah" to me! Regards, Beatle Bob
