Spizer has a new Sgt. Pepper book out - looks interesting! He's giving a couple of talks in conjunction with its release here in N.O., and I can't make a single one of them. Also, a local theater is showing a documentary type movie called Deconstructing the Beatles, described thusly:" The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is one of the most influential albums of our time. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, composer, musician, and Beatles expert Scott Freiman looks at Sgt. Pepper from multiple angles, exploring the history behind the music. Mr. Freiman conducts an educational journey into the creative process of The Beatles performances and recording sessions." Anybody seen this? It showed Friday, yesterday, and today, and I am missing all of them, too!
