I just seen an ad for the new Al Pacino movie. It's about a rock star in the seventies who's career kind of took a dive. He finds out now that John Lennon liked his music and wrote him a letter that he never received. He can't stop thinking about how his life would have been different had he seen the letter. They played Instant Karma in the ad, so maybe they have the rights to some of John's music. www.imdb.com/title/tt1772288/

Don't know how many of you have heard of this movie and I don't know how good it is (seems to be getting mixed reviews), but this is of interest to us:

Just saw the movie. Serviceable. Not bad. I enjoyed it, but it's a rental. I'd recommend you wait until it's out on Netflix or HBO or whatever. John's music, original recordings, are played throughout, though. So, that's a plus.

Netflix it is!

Saw the movie tonite. Classic Pacino. Call me sappy, but I really enjoyed it. Can't beat listening to John's songs coming out throughout the movie on the soundtrack. The letter looks like a facsimile of the real one sent to the english gent who speaks briefly at the end of the movie. Anybody who likes hearing Lennon songs coming thru a movie theatre sound system, well, it's worth the price of the ticket. Pacino is pretty funny as well throughout with his sarcastic wit.

Okay, to hell with Netflix, you have convinced me lowbasso to seek this movie out at the theater! Maybe it is a mature enough film where there won't be obnoxious brats or even more obnoxious teenagers in the theater.

No kids at all at this movie.
