I don't get it. Which Beatles album is this on?
This sounds better live than I thought it would. This wouldn't be a song I'd ask for but I like him doing anything other than his usual set. Wonder what he dropped to do this.

Cool that he did this, even if Temporary Secretary is not one of my personal favourites. He played Another Girl and Hope For The Future too.

Thanks for posting this video, how cool! I'm glad he's putting in a few new songs during his shows. Here's video of David Grohl joining Paul on I Saw Her Standing There

I like it. I think is a great change of pace and I am glad he is bringing NEW songs to the set.

Wonder what he dropped to do this. Hopefully, HEY JUDE, LET IT BE, THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD or YESTERDAY .... but I wouldn't count on that!

Of all the songs he's never done live, he picks Temporary Secretary? Obviously his brain is joining his voice.

Wonder what he dropped to do this. Hopefully, HEY JUDE, LET IT BE, THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD or YESTERDAY .... but I wouldn't count on that! Down in the other section on "Various Music," I said I just saw Neil Diamond and he did NOT do Song Sung Blue and You Don't Send Me Flowers. Those are hugely popular standards for the old Diamond crowd. If he left those out, Paul could leave out any (and ALL) of the songs JoeK listed and still have a great set.

I consider myself a Neil Diamond fan. The only album I ever bought was You Don't Bring Me Flowers, because I liked Forever in Blue Jeans, not the title track.
I have two 2-disc best of CDs. One has the early studio versions of the old songs (Solitary Man, Kentucky Woman...etc.) but only the later songs live. And the other 2-disc set has the reverse. Ownership issues. I had to get Say Maybe as a single song from iTunes because it wasn't on either set.
I'd be hard pressed to come up with a two hours set for Neil that didn't have Song Sung Blue. But if I went to see Neil and he didn't do Song Sung Blue, I'd figure that was his choice. If he can entertain for two hours without it, he would not need it.
Certainly Paul has enough material. I think his crowd started thinning a little when he was doing the Biker Like an Icon tour. He panicked and regrouped with songs that would fill the stadium. (IMO)
Wings Over America had few Beatles' songs, yet drew monster crowds.

You know, Paul could junk that boring Rock and Roll stuff and put on a Techno-Dance show with songs like "Temporary Secretary," the Techno version of "Coming Up" he did in 1989/1990 with Master Chris Witten, several others from Macca II, "What's That You're Doing", some of the early fireman stuff and last but certainly not least, his new stuff with Kanye, The Beatles of this Era and just one man, and we'd have us a kick ass concert of cool dancing not dorky "Can't Buy Me Love" or "I Saw Her Standing There" dancing. Yeah, why was Grohl there, he is so passé man!

Looks like he played Ram On in the second concert. Temporary Secretary stayed in. No special guest.

LOL, I saw something very recently on Grohl and he was gushing on the Stones like he had been gushing on The Beatles and Band On The Run. I had to laugh and think, "David, don't let Macca hear you gushing on the Stones like that or you won't get to play with him anymore!" I know, I know, a guy like Grohl has many musical influences but he was using the exact same phrases and adjectives for the Stones as he had the Beatles/Macca. The exact praise! I guess it depends on whose camera is rolling as to who Dave Grohl will praise!

I have always considered "Temporary Secretary" to fall in the category of "failed experiment". I find the song quite annoying, particularly the vocals. However, I can see it being a cool song live! Good for Paul for trying out some new stuff!
JSD, Wouldn't "Mumbo" work well for that techno based fantasy concert of yours?

JSD, Wouldn't "Mumbo" work well for that techno based fantasy concert of yours? Good question, Coach! There is dancing and then there is dancing but "Mumbo" is so primal that it seems to be in a different realm! One can be a great techno dancer and keep their clothes on. That is impossible for dancing to Mumbo where clothes must be removed, sweating is profuse and body fluids can fly, etc. That is why Paul cannot play "Mumbo" live now.

It’s just a random thought, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there is eventually a live album released of this ongoing Out There tour. Paul has had some very good reviews of the two recent London concerts, reporting that he was in fine voice. Then, if I recall correctly, Out There started off in Japan in 2013, where at least one of his Tokyo gigs was similarly rated. He has added some new songs to his live repertoire over the past two years, eg. Lovely Rita, All Together Now, Your Mother Should Know, Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite, Temporary Secretary etc. I’m a bit sick of live sets, but I can see it happening.

Paul is due for a live album/dvd.
