Squire 67 died from leukemia. One of the greatest rock bassists of the classic rock era. I saw him live at the Philly Spectrum in 1979 (and it happens to be on DVD).
So young.

Terrible news for those close to him and his fans. Unfortunately, i had to google who he was, i was never a Prog Rock fan so i'm not familiar with his career.

I saw Yes many times. The first time was when they opened for Black Sabbath (back in the early 70s when weird pairings often occurred). Saw them when Peter Frampton opened for them (pre-Frampton Comes Alive - I think it was being recorded for future release). Also, saw them when the Buggles were part of Yes. Even when I got into my punk/new wave influences, I was always still interested in Yes. I even saw my first naked living ladies in person at a Yes concert. It was closing night of the tour and I guess some of their groupies/girlfriends took off their clothes and went on stage to dance during the last song. Woo hoo! Saw them last August. Too bad Squire and Jon Anderson were on the outs, for seeing Yes without Anderson was weird.
In tribute to Chris, here are two rare clips:

RIP, Chris Squire!
Somewhere, former poster Wooltonian is hurting! He was/is a huge Yes fan!
