Startled fans were outraged when beloved Beatles drummer Ringo Starr purportedly re-tweeted the message "F_ ck The Beatles!" Coming just days after the huge McCartney humiliation after the Grammies, one had to wonder what was going on. Not to worry, Ringo was just the victim of a hacker and has not fallen off the wagon and drunk tweeting! www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/ringo-starr-tweets-f-beatles-10899264

This is exactly why many of us did not believe George Martin was dead in that first hour after reports starting surfacing because the first source was Ringo's Twitter statement and many of us knew it had recently been hacked as described above!
This is why there was concern at first that it was a hoax.

This is why there was concern at first that it was a hoax. Yeah, I was online with someone at the time and that was precisely what was going through my mind.

That's what I was thinking too. I was hoping that was what it was.
When Sean announced it on Facebook, I thought for a minute that he had been taken in by what we were reading too. But then I had to think, he would not comment unless he knew it was true through other channels. So that's when I had to believe it was true.
