My son Kevin has released a new CD. I tried to post a link here. It doesn't look like it worked, but you can find it on YouTube. And below is my personal notes on this song: Here's another one of Kevin's new songs. I love the eclectic sound of this one. The opening is progressive rock (think Yes, ELP) at its finest. But then you get the great funk bass part and later the Spanish sound (is that guitar or keyboard?) and back to the prog-rock finish. A great combination of sounds!!! I really like how he goes from genre to genre between and within songs. Not surprising since his bands have included: 1. A Beatles cover band 2. Tired Starlings, who played a lot of Cream and Hendrix covers 3. Almost Dead-a Grateful Dead cover band (later renamed Wicked Sun) 4. Einstein Space Party, who described themselves as "psychedelic funk" and covered songs by artists as varied as Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder, the Doors, and Phish (their main influence) as well as several covers (one of which is Everything (featured on DISCOMEDUSA). His earlier homemade CD's were: #1-very Who inspired, with elements of modern rock (White Stripes one influence) and some acoustic introspective songs. #2-traces of the Velvet Underground and Pink Floyd in a concept album. #3-showed a jazz influence but still some traces of Beatles (a sitar based song) and Kinks (quirky lyrics)
Anyway I'd love to hear some opinions. You can easily find Discomedusa on YouTube.

Like I said with the new James McCartney album. I'll wait for the CD. If he can't find a distributor, so be it.
Just kidding. I just picked up a copy.
Funny thing, the vocals sort of remind me of James.

"Fate" is the catchiest song in my opinion. There is also a video out using "Fate" which is a Tom Brady tribute and is produced by my youngest brother.

Fate hasn't come up in my New Music playlist yet. I have a lot of new music to filter through. Ready to Depart just came up. It reminds me of Alan Parsons. I'm a big Alan Parsons fan. I have 8 of his albums. Ready to Depart was a good song. At some point I will give the whole album a proper listen. I like it a lot so far.

I've been meaning to post this. The song Chemicals has come up twice in my New Music playlist. It's a nice upbeat, rockin' song. Great piano work on it. What all does your son do on the album?
