Yup I have the mono version on vinyl and i like it better than the stereo version, it is warm sounding but also in your face, the Bass sounds better IMO and I can hear the Pet Sounds influence more on it,,,

I much prefer listening to PEPPER and THE WHITE ALBUM in Stereo. One thing that really kills PEPPER in Mono for me is the discernible tape start-up during "Sgt Pepper Reprise".

I just have the 2009 Mono CD of SPLHCB and I remember that I liked "She's Leaving Home" a lot better in Mono. Paul's vocal is stronger, it sounds like him whereas the Stereo version seems speeded or slowed down, something.

I think I have it on bootleg somewhere. As I recall, it was the absolute best.

I have the mono-albums boxset, which is fab, but here's my take on mono vs. stereo (albums only):
Please Please Me / With The Beatles / A Hard Day's... / Beatles For Sale / Revolver
Mono is better
Help! / Sgt. Pepper's... / The White Album
No preference -- in some ways mono is better, in some ways stereo is better
Abbey Road / Let it Be
Stereo is better

The mono versions don't work for me. I don't have any mono equipment to play them on.

I've only heard the mono track that was on the (American) Rarities album - She's Leaving Home (also SLHCB reprise). I know I can get it on YouTube, I just haven't invested the time yet...

I never heard the vinyl version, but someone who did told me it was the best. Judging from the bootleg which I listened to on car speakers, it had more depth.
