I think these services just aren't charging enough. How much should you have to pay to have access to any song you wanted and to be able to play it any time you want it.
If everybody had to pay $1 every time they listened to a song they have not listened to before, how much would that cost the first month? Once you pay for the song, you have unlimited access to it. How much would it cost you in a year?
As it is, in Billboards charts, music gets credit for streams, much like radio play has always been accounted for. If people had to actually pay for this new music, how well would Drake actually be doing?

I was talking to a friend at work the other day and he said that he might actually buy a CD. He said he'd heard a Don Henley concert where Henley did duets with some big name stars and he loved it. Today he said he wouldn't have to buy it. He found the whole concert on youtube.
