Steve Marinucci posted the video of the tribute to The Beatles held at Dodgers Stadium last week on the anniversary of them playing there. A medley was played with fireworks.
There are not many U.S. stadiums or arenas left where The Beatles played. Indiana is an exception as the Indiana State Fair Coliseum is still in use and until the recent renovations, would have looked very close to how it did when The Beatles played there in 1964. They played two concerts that date in Indy, strangely one was indoors in the Coliseum and the other show was outdoors on the stage in front of the Main Grandstand!
Thus their equipment had to be moved twice that day! I never understood that. I don't think it was because of rain.
But Dodgers Stadium is obviously one of the Beatles concert sites. In the 1970's I always marveled at how modern and hip Dodgers Stadium was and the old girl still looks that way! I enjoyed watching last Sunday the entire Cubs game there even though my Cubbies lost!
