I am hearing this "Dylan Snub" on radio, television and the internet! It is the most press Dylan has had in years! I am thoroughly enjoying this! He used to care, but things have changed.

I cannot believe Bob hasn't gotten blasted here yet again for not being able to make The Concert For George. Bob actually explained why with a couple of sentences at a concert at MSG before breaking into "Something." He was long-timed booked before the CFG was scheduled. But man were people pissed off here, calling it the "Snub of The Century." Unless Dylan really couldn't help missing the Concert For George, it was really up there with one of the most disgraceful snubs of all time. George was there for Bob at the Bob Tribute in 1992. Dylan really should have made it to the George Concert ... if he truly was able. Hell, didn't Dylan even make George and company wait on pins and needles biting their nails until the last second to see if "his majesty" would bother making the Bangladesh gig in 1971? LOL, Bob Dylan's presence MADE The Concert For Bangladesh! Bob Dylan thus owed George nothing. Dylan had pre-scheduled shows. What does he do, tell those fans to piss off and cancel the gig?!

LOL, great song! Mark, Dylan may have been in Australia the night of the Concert for George but I believe his lovely tribute to George of "Something" with a spoken explanation on why he wouldn't be at the upcoming tribute concert was in NYC prior to the event. It was on his website for quite a while and it was certainly a sincere explanation from Bob. But Beatles geeks are like Star Trek geeks who are so pissed off that Shatner didn't go to Nimoy's funeral.

Ringo was once asked why he didn't attend someone's funeral and he said I wasn't there when he was born either. Who's was it?

I'm not sure why you're "LOL'ing", considering that I agree 100% with you that Dylan's performance MADE The Concert For Bangladesh... I have long felt that Dylan stole the show. But that has nothing to do with my point... that Bob Dylan kept George and the others waiting on pins and needles as to whether or not he'd show up at all. The question here is not "how good was Bob at the gig?", but why he's always such a jerk about how he conducts himself with people. I made it perfectly clear in my comment that IF Dylan was truly able to attend The Concert For George, he should have... IF. If he had pre-scheduled concerts in 2002, then no, he couldn't make the George Tribute Concert. Look, I appreciate much of Dylan's work... but the man has always been something of an a--hole with that "mysterious" crap of his. With pals like Bob, who needs rivals? (PS .. Ringo also had pre-scheduled shows when he canceled the gigs and told fans to piss off, when he played the PC game protesting men being able to use the women's room and vice-versa... but you didn't seem to mind then! ) .

Given all the drugs Keith has done over the years, he may very well deserve the Nobel Prize for chemistry.....

Keith Richards is an amazing physical specimen in many regards, including surviving that massive drug use!

Whatever combination of chemicals he has taken over the years will act as a preservative, as if he were hugged by John Coffey. Ponce De Richard...

I am a fan of Bob Dylan's. Own nearly all of his albums, and I think he's a great lyricist and storyteller. I have always liked the way he sings his own songs, but at the same time I think he's NOT a great - nor even good - singer. So I do enjoy his offbeat and poor singing on his songs just the same, because it's him and because it's so awkward (if that makes any sense). "Nobody sings Dylan like Dylan", as the saying used to go... but that doesn't make it "great".
